This club is specifically for those who have demonstrated competency, as a Junior Explorer, or by special invitation.
Recommended age – 10yrs upward, with a participating adult. This club is designed to provide a parent child bonding platform with common experiences shared – see accompanying adult charges. Non-participating adults will only be able to assist their child where need be, rather than actively participate in the sessions.
There will be plenty of time to refine & hone a variety of basic wilderness living skills, in a friendly & welcoming environment.
All you need is suitable clothing for the season, a water bottle, & a willingness to learn – All equipment is provided for the duration.
Topics covered throughout the sessions in no particular order:
- Fire Lighting Techniques – Initial Recap, followed by the production of your own fire bow drill set over the sessions!
- Natural Cordage – Initial Recap, followed by the production of a useful length of cordage – target 20 metres or more over the sessions!
