This one day, one night course, is designed to be educational & fun, but the focus is on Dad having a fantastic wilderness experience.
Starting with the basics, safely learning to use cutting tools in the woods, Dad will know learn how to make a woodland mallet and or tent peg to take away with him. With a little effort & plenty of guidance & help, Dad can begin to build up an appetite as he creates his own shelter, where he’ll sleep snug as a bug that evening.
While relaxing with a hot brew, Dad will be shown various fire lighting methods, getting to have a go himself too!
A hands on demonstration of a range of simple but effective survival traps followed by a choice of game preparation, for lunch. As a venison stew is slowly cooked for dinner, we’ll take things down a peg, as we go & explore the woods on a walk and talk about natural navigation & foraging.
The following morning, Dad will wake to a hot kettle & fire & will make his own damper bread, to have with his bacon and eggs cooked over the fire. We’ll collapse the shelters and can head off for a spot of archery, at the onsite range finishing at around noon on the Sunday.
£120 for Dad and one Child free, if you wish to bring additional children there is an additional charge of £30 – Max 2 Children per Adult, minimum age 8 yrs old.
